Yay! They recovered ‘The Scream’ by Edvard Munch. It was stolen two years ago, but has now been returned.
One of my favourite paintings, although I prefer the black and white version. (The colour one was the one that got stolen.)
It’s a perfect set of images: the suffocating sky, the sheer drop of the cliff, the indifferent walkers, the ghost-like body that looks like it might blow away, and above all the mouth and eyes of a skull-like figure set in a silent scream that won’t stop.
Disturbing and great.

I saw that yesterday as well. I was very glad to read it. I remember that painting from a very young age I think because so many of the profs had it up in thier homes and offices.
