Owl-spotters: Have a look at a US simolean, and see if you can spot the owl.
I noticed this item on Tom Ellard’s site, and I was intrigued. I happened to have a nice crisp US dollar bill in my possession, so I set my scanner to ‘insane’ setting (19200 dpi), and here’s the scan. Click to enlarge.
So… is it an owl? I don’t know. To me it looks like a place where a bunch of curlicues intersect. The ‘head’ has three holes in it, which to our human brains might look like two eyes and a nose (or beak). And maybe a couple of bumps for ears. Too bad the corresponding pattern on the other side of the bill is covered up.
What’s more interesting to me is why most people who have a web page on this topic are either loopy about Masons, Jesus, or the Illuminati. I suppose if you’re spending your nights looking for sinister symbolism in money, you’re heading for one of two options: John Birch meetings, or muttering to yourself in bus stations. Not much difference, really.

I just want to know how long that scan took????

Not that long, because I was scanning such a tiny area. All up, about 33 seconds.
Which is significant because 33 is the highest level of Masonry. Kennedy was killed near the 33rd Parallel. Wheels within wheels, my friend. Wheels within wheels.

That's nothing! Fold an Australian $5 note the right way and you get a picture of a whale doing something obscene!

At least it's larger, so you can actually see what you're imagining.

That's really a stretch, so is the whale thing.

(Weak type-token humor) Is America so poor that we can now refer to _the American dollar bill_?

Of course, that's what your Bavarian masters would tell you to say….

I am willing to investigate this at length and without bias.
Anyone who thinks they see an owl within a dollar bill- any number of bills in fact- Send them to me and I will give them the time they deserves.
Please tell your friends.

Umm … not so fast. (A) If those are just a printing artifact of intersecting lines, where are the other ends of the lines? I can't see anything in the pattern that would intersect with these lines. (B) the machine that does the actual engraving is computer driven. If the owl was unintentional, it could be edited out simply by slightly extending the pattern interval.
Having the owl appear originally MIGHT not have been intentional (although it seems that every inch would have been given given a microscopic review), but leaving it on the bill after it was noticed IS intentional. I'm pretty certain that if the figure formed looked like a genital, it would have been corrected … so why not the owl?

lol…again!

It's obvious to me that it's simply an extension of the leaf-like design that wraps behind the corner. I mean, picture the design without it- the left wrap looks cut off. C'mon guys.

You will love this,, If you flip the owl upside down it forms a skull & crossbones. That dollar bill is own and lent to the treasury with interest from the federal reserve. (Which is not federal but is 100% private) This is very real everyone, I suggest you do some research on this.

Everything weird is always related to the dollar!
