At least for now (I hope) it looks like that part of the GOP is going to win, hopefully making it easier for the dems to win in 2 years.

I certainly hope so. It’s hard to dump a whole ideology, and the GOP is as ideological as they come. I’d be surprised if they could pull an about face in ten years.

I couldn’t even finish the article because as soon as I saw the comment about Lincoln being a “real Republican” all I could see was red. The Republican party of the 1860s is the Democratic party of today. When are the American people going to learn their history?
Oh and if the GOP goes any further right, they are going to fall off the face of the Earth…actually that wouldn’t be a bad thing.
