Good Reason

It's okay to be wrong. It's not okay to stay wrong.

Hot: Lamont. Not: Lieberman.

Connecticut’s a long way away, and it was impossible to find anything on Australian news about the hotly contested Democratic primary there. Blast them! They’re usually so keen on anything from America.

So I was very pleased to get to the computer at work and find that Connecticut voters have voted Ned Lamont as the Democratic candidate for Senate, and they have turfed that rotten Joe Lieberman out of office.

The press is making sound like it’s all about Iraq. But could it be that people finally had enough of Joe’s Bush-smooching Fox-News-Democratic Clinton-admonishing social-security-killing

(breath)

party-back-stabbing, and above all, unitary-executive bullshit?

I really feel a Democratic resurgence coming on. This election puts Democrats on notice. They must now act like Democrats and treat issues that Democratic voters care about. Maybe people are learning and we can put the right-wing hate-mongers and fundy nutcases back in the asylum where they belong.

Some people have a more difficult time learning though. Joe’s running as an Independent, looking out for Number One as always. So voters will just have to give him another reality check in November.

  2. Yeh I reckon! It’s kinda almost as if I’m doing lingiustics study hehe. Infact I kinda am seeing as everything I say or write I attempt to transcribe. Last night in the middle of a fight with ex boyfriend I found myself babbling “perth… peeeeerth ….puuoooth…”
You certainly don’t leave us in any doubt as to your political opinions… I like it, but probably only becuase they are similar to mine. Otherwise this friendly comment may have turned abusive 🙂
