Just a reminder to all that when you’re doing translation using Babelfish, make sure you run the translation by a competent native speaker.

The translation appears to have been done automatically, word-for-word. I don’t speak Mandarin, but the comments on the page are helpful for finding out how this all went horribly wrong.

The language is a bit saucy (unintentionally), so savour carefully. And enjoy the Tripe of Water.

  1. There was the famous launch of Qantas flights into China, and while working on the ads in Australia all was going well until they wanted to run some ads in chinese language papers here.
    The famous by line ‘Qantas the spirit of Australia ‘was unfortunately transalatedgnfjozml as ” Qantas the ghost of Australia”.
